The Startup Hokies Incubator is Virginia Tech's student startup incubator, operated by the APEX Center for Entrepreneurs. It provides 24/7 co-working space at the Apex Center downtown Blacksburg location (432 N Main St, Suite 200), milestone-based stipends for qualifying teams, and access to a multi-tiered mentorship network including student consultants, faculty, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, and Venture Mentors.

The program operates on a rolling admissions basis during fall and spring semesters. Any team with at least one current full-time VT undergraduate or graduate student qualifies. The workload is self-directed with emphasis on customer discovery and problem validation before building solutions. Teams that progress through the incubator milestones are well-positioned to apply for follow-on programs like Venture Founders.

Incubator stipends are equity-free and milestone-based, designed to fund development, travel, and startup-related expenses.
