The Virginia Tech Entrepreneur Challenge is a campus-wide student startup pitch competition with a total prize pool of $30,000 in cash awards and prizes. Interdisciplinary teams from across campus compete in three tracks: Serve (Social Impact and Sustainability), Innovate (Technology and Emerging Solutions), and Inspire (Creativity and Community Ventures).
Teams of 2-5 students apply and are selected by faculty affiliates. The top 5-6 teams pitch for grand prizes, while approximately 20 showcase teams receive $500 each. The annual spring event is hosted at the Creativity and Innovation District (CID). The competition features alumni-entrepreneur and industry partner judges.
