Summer Venture Studio is Rice's flagship 12-week equity-free summer accelerator for student founders, launched by Lilie in 2023. Selected teams receive $15,000 in non-dilutive funding, dedicated co-working space, individualized mentorship, and a culminating Demo Day. The program is industry-agnostic and open to solo founders or teams of up to five (Rice student must lead). More than 75% of participating ventures have closed successful fundraising rounds; alumni include Y Combinator acceptee Norra, Helix Earth Technologies, and Solidec.
