The CRI Spark Fund is a proof-of-concept gap fund providing $50K for one year towards professor-led research commercialization. 5 awards per cycle. Currently paused due to funding availability. Eligible uses include building commercially ready prototypes, animal testing/in vivo data, process optimization, and market validation. Applicants must have an invention disclosure and initial patent application on file. Partnership awards with Bouvé College of Health Sciences, College of Science, and College of Engineering. Prior recipients may apply for additional funding up to $150K maximum per technology.
