The Hatch

The Hatch is BGSU's student pitch program. Students apply to become Hatchlings, develop early-stage ideas with mentorship, and pitch in April. A May 2026 story calls the 2026 cycle a 15-week accelerator.

• 2026 awards totaled a combined $30,000 for the top three teams.
• 160 students applied for the 2026 cycle.
