The Bridge is a tough-tech business accelerator in downtown Troy developed through a historic partnership between RPI and Rensselaer County. Located on the top floor of the Quackenbush Building (333 Broadway), it provides 10,000+ sq. ft. of shared experimental space for startups in energy, biotech, manufacturing, and other capital-intensive sectors. The accelerator is RPI President Martin Schmidt's signature initiative, inspired by MIT's The Engine in Kendall Square.

Startups are not required to have a pre-existing RPI affiliation. The Bridge will also partner with local universities, companies, and nonprofits for streamlined access to cutting-edge tools and facilities.
