Description

State-designated fintech and insuretech accelerator hosted by Stevens in partnership with NJEDA, Prudential Financial, and Plug and Play. Two cohorts per year (fall and spring), each with 10-15 startups. Provides a three-month curriculum of weekly mentorship, business model refinement, pitch polishing, and concludes with a graduation expo. Stevens students serve as embedded interns. Equity investments of up to $1 million are made in at least 15% of participating companies. NJEDA committed up to $17.5 million (pending board approval). The portfolio includes 17+ current companies (Squirro, Venteur, DeepKeep, Cranium, and others).
